One of Oyaji’s unique qualities, is the owner Mr. Kang is still very active and the head chef of the restaurant. All of our dishes use his original recipes for sauces, salad dressings, main dishes, and soup bases.

The Story Behind Oyaji Sushi’s Mom & Pop.

Oyaji opened in November 2014 and is located in the Village of Richmond Hill. After nearly 2 decades in North York as Sapporo Sushi, Mr. and Mrs. Kang have begun a new chapter in Richmond Hill as Oyaji Sushi. Before his journey in Canada as a chef and restaurateur, Mr. Kang spent rigorous years training as a chef in highly regarded hotels in Seoul, South Korea. As proud parents whose priority is always family, the Kangs hope for Oyaji to be a place for your family to enjoy the blessing of good food and good company.
